According to the organisers more than 70% tickets have been sold out for Rio Olympics which is to be held next month from August 5, 2016. Till now Fans have spent $290 million on 4.3 million tickets, said Rio 2016 ticketing director.
Around 1.6 million tickets are still available for sale. Donovan Ferreti (ticketing director) said, “The ideal scenario would be to sell out all events but if we reach the level of London, we will be happy”.
86% tickets were sold out in London Olympics. Hope this year’s Olympics will cross that mark soon.
