Twitter To Share Ad Revenue With Video Creators

Twitter will now be sharing its revenue generated through ads with the video creators. This program is only limited to the users in U.S. Just like YouTube, Twitter will also be paying to the video creators as because of them they are generating ad revenues.

Twitter is offering more than what YouTube is. It’s offering 70 percent of the revenue it will generate through creator’s content. Currently YouTube is offering only 55 percent of the generated revenue.

Twitter is already sharing its revenue with some media and entertainment companies like NFL (National Football League), and CBS Corp which post videos through its Amplify Publisher Program.

People use Facebook and YouTube more than Twitter to share videos. Both YouTube and Facebook have paid some media companies and celebrities to generate videos. Facebook is working on a long-term monetization model for live video to share its revenue with some media partners in a different and sustainable way.

Twitter, even with its Vine is way behind YouTube and Facebook. Vine has dedicated viewers and stars. High-profile stars have been asking for a revenue share on Vine for some time. Celebrities and media companies plays a vital role in creating revenues for the companies and most of the social media platforms rely on them.

Though sharing revenue with the celebrities appeared to be profitable for Facebook and YouTube as they have attracted billions of viewers to use their platform. But Twitter lags behind YouTube and Facebook and have failed to attract that much users to make it a perfect video sharing destination.

To get started (U.S. users only), visit studio.twitter.com for media studio access. If you don’t have an account than you can get access by creating one. For mobile users, install Twitter Engage app from PlayStore and then tap on earnings tab to sign-up for the Amplify Publisher Program. For more detailed information, click here.
