Inox has partnered with country’s major bank SBI (State Bank of India) to allow customers to withdraw cash by using their debit cards. The limit to withdraw cash will be Rs. 2,000 and will follow all the RBI (Reserve Bank of India) guidelines in regards of cash withdrawal. This initiative is to help common man and to support PM Modi’s decision of demonetization of high denomination currency. You can visit nearby INOX Multiplex with your debit card to withdraw the cash.
INOX Leisure Limited is amongst India’s largest multiplex chains with 113 multiplexes, 446 screens spread in 57 cities across the country.
“We have partnered with State Bank of India (SBI) to facilitate this transaction at the nearest INOX multiplex using a debit card. Citizens can simply swipe their debit cards, enter their PIN number and take up to Rs 2,000 in cash per card per day,” stated INOX Leisure.
According to the company, the facility will initially be available across 17 properties starting from November 25 and will be made available at the remaining 89 properties over the course of the weekend.
“We believe that the current demonetization will have a positive impact on the Indian economy. We want to serve the nation at large by assisting the government in achieving their objectives of building a progressive economy,” said Siddharth Jain, Director, INOX Leisure Limited.
“At SBI, we provide support to customers and this association with INOX coincides with our offering,” said the bank in a statement.
Other than INOX, you can withdraw cash up to Rs. 2,000 at petrol pumps by just swiping your debit card through POS (point-of-sale) machines. Recently, Big Bazaar had also launched the initiative to ease the cash withdrawal process for common man and to support demonetization. So, you can visit your nearby Big Bazaar store to withdraw cash up to the same limit.
