After introducing Galaxy J1 4G smartphone last week, South-Korean tech giant Samsung has now launched another budget smartphone named Galaxy J2 Ace priced at Rs. 8,490. Being part of company’s “Make for India” project, J2 Ace is the latest addition to the Galaxy J series.

Galaxy J2 Ace sports 5-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) display and is powered by 1.GHz quad-core processor paired with 1.5GB of RAM. The device is packed with Samsung’s Turbo Speed Technology (TST) that optimizes the RAM helping apps to open faster, claims company. It comes with 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded further up to 256GB via microSD card.
In terms of camera, the smartphone features 8MP rear camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. On the other hand, it has 5MP front facing camera with same f/2.2 aperture and LED flash as rear for better low light imaging. Galaxy J2 Ace runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and packs 2600mAh battery.
It’s a dual SIM smartphone that comes with support for VoLTE connectivity. Other connectivity options on board Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace include- 4G/3G/2G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and USB 2.0. The device houses proximity and accelerometer sensors. Other features include Samsung S Bike mode and Ultra Data Saving mode that can save up to 50 percent mobile data.
The device will be available at all major online retailers and authorized offline retailers across the country starting January 16. The company is offering the smartphone in Black, Gold, and Silver color options.
