Gionee has launched another “F”series smartphone called Gionee F5 in its home country, China. The smartphone is available to buy at a price of CNY 1799 (approx Rs. 17,600) in Gold and Rose Gold color options. There are no words whether the device will be made available in markets other than China.
Gionee F5 sports metal body design and a 5.3-inch HD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels alongside 2.5D curved glass screen. It is powered by 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 SoC coupled with Mali T860 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
The smartphone features 13MP rear camera with LED flash while on the front side, it sports 8MP camera for taking selfies. F5 runs company’s UI called Amigo v3.2 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It also packs fingerprint sensor in its home button.
It’s a dual-SIM smartphone that supports hybrid setup i.e. (Nano SIM + Nano SIM or Nano SIM + microSD). The mid-range smartphone packs a big 4000mAh battery to provide longer backup. Connectivity options on board Gionee F5 include- WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, FM Radio, and 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone also packs proximity, accelerometer, and ambient light sensor.
