LG Q8 smartphone specifications, price, features
LG has added another smartphone to its recently introduced Q series called LG Q8. It has been priced at EUR 599 (approx Rs. 45,000 OR $699) and will be made available via Amazon Italy starting August 4, 2017, in titanium. As of now, the smartphone is only available in Italy and there are no words on its international availability yet.
LG Q8 has features and specifications similar to company’s V20 smartphone which was launched last year. Q8 sports metal body design with 5.2-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) IPS display that comes protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It also sports an always-on secondary display with a resolution of 160×1040 pixels. The secondary display lets you access your phone contacts, shortcuts which can be customized, and apps. It also shows notifications and you can even reply to a message.
The device is powered by 64-bit 2.15 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core 820 SoC paired with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with 32GB of internal storage, lesser than V20, which can be expanded further up to 2TB via microSD card. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat and sports fingerprint sensor on the rear side of the smartphone, below the camera module.
LG Q8 features dual rear cameras- 13MP (1.12-micron pixels) sensor with 28mm lens (78-degree), f/1.8 aperture, Optical Image Stabilizer, and dual LED flash while the 8MP sensor comes with 135-degree wide-angle lens, f/2.4 aperture, and 1.12-micron pixels. It comes with manual mode, automatic mode, simple mode, and square camera mode and supports 4K video recording. On the other hand, it features 5MP (1.12-micron pixels) front facing camera with 120-degree wide-angle lens, f/1.9 aperture, virtual flash, auto shot with face detection, and supports FHD video recording.
The smartphone comes with IP67 certification making your device more durable. You can capture photos under water as it can withstand water immersion up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. It also comes optimized with Vulkan API to provide top notch gaming experience. LG Q8 also packs two microphones with high AOP (acoustic overload point) allowing you to record even in high-volume conditions without any distortion and in uncompressed lossless format. With its studio recording mode, record audio as you were in a recording studio. You can also record your voice on a track of your choice. It also comes integrated with Quad DAC which reduces background noise and provides high-quality music listening experience.
It’s a single SIM (Nano) smartphone that comes packed with 3000mAh battery, 200mAh less than V20. It also packs standard connectivity options such as 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS/ GLONASS, infrared, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on board LG Q8 include proximity, accelerometer, ambient light, magnetometer, and gyroscope.
