Realme 3 Pro is here with up to 6GB RAM and Snapdragon 710

Realme 3 Pro, the smartphone you have been waiting for is finally here and this time the Chinese smartphone maker has put up a tough competition against Samsung’s Galaxy M30, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 Pro and other mid-range smartphones. The company has also launched an all-new budget smartphone Realme C2 at the same event priced at Rs. 5,999.

Realme 3 Pro has been priced at Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB/64GB model and Rs. 16,999 for the higher variant that packs 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. Pricing is the same as Redmi Note 7 Pro while the Galaxy M30 retails at Rs. 14,990 for the 4GB/64GB model and Rs. 17,990 for 6GB/128GB storage configuration. Color options include Nito Blue, Carbon Grey, and Lightning Purple (available at a later date).

Flipkart launch offers include 3 to 6 months no cost EMI, Flipkart complete mobile protection at just Rs. 99 (original price Rs. 999) and flat Rs. 1,000 off with HDFC Bank debit/credit cards. If you buy Realme 3 Pro via the company’s online store on April 29 then you will be eligible to avail Realme buds worth Rs. 499 at no extra cost but you should be one of the first 1,000 buyers otherwise no buds for you however you still can avail up to Rs. 1,500 (up to 15%) supercash cashback on payment through MobiKwik. Telecom partner Reliance Jio is offering benefits worth Rs. 5,300 and it doesn’t matter where you buy the phone from, if you are purchasing the smartphone you are eligible.

Realme 3 Pro features Le Mans-inspired speedway design with an ‘S’ pattern in a gradient finish on the back. The smartphone sports 6.3-inch FHD (1080×2340 pixels) Dewdrop full-screen IPS LCD display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio which produces peak brightness of 400 nits with a contrast ratio of 1200:1 and comes with Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Device’s performance is driven by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 (10nm) octa-core (2×2.2 GHz Kryo 360 Gold & 6×1.7 GHz Kryo 360 Silver) SoC combined with multi-core AIE (artificial intelligence engine), Adreno 616 GPU, and up to 6GB of RAM. The company promises a smooth gaming experience without any lags supporting games like PUBG, Asphalt 9, and Rules of Survival. It is being offered in two storage options – 64GB and 128GB expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The device features a dedicated slot for microSD card so that you never run out of memory.

The rear dual camera setup packs 16MP IMX519 (Sony sensor) primary sensor (1.22μm Large pixel, 1/2.6″ sensor size, f/1.7 aperture, dual pixel PDAF) and 5MP GC5035 secondary depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture, paired with an LED flash. The notch on LCD up front houses AI front camera with 25MP selfie sensor (1/2.8″ sensor size, 1.8μm pixel size, f/2.0 aperture, 4-in-1 pixels) Camera features include Nightscape to enhance low-light photography, Chroma Boost to improve the dynamic range of photos, AI portrait mode to blur the background, AI scene recognition that identifies scenes and objects in real-time, Ultra HD to capture 64MP ultra HD photos by merging 8 shots into one, supports 4K video capturing and EIS (electronic image stabilization), AI beautification, HDR, and Expert mode. The phone also supports Time-LAPSE and 720p 960fps super slo-mo video that is played 32 times slower than a normal video.

Realme 3 Pro supports AI-powered facial unlock and the fingerprint sensor comes mounted on the rear panel. It runs Android 9.0 Pie-based customized UI ColorOS 6.0 which includes Hyper Boost 2.0, a feature that works alongside Touch Boost and Frame Boost to improve the overall gaming experience.

The phone also features Widevine L1 certification to allow users stream HD content from streaming services like Amazon Prime Videos and Netflix. The card tray accepts two Nano SIMs. Powering up the device is the 4045mAh battery which, company claims, can deliver up to 7 hours of PUBG gaming. It also supports VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 that fuels up 50% battery in just 30 minutes.

Connectivity options onboard Realme 3 Pro include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS/ A-GPS/ GLONASS, FM Radio, micro USB 2.0 port, USB OTG support, and 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on the smartphone include proximity, accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light, and magnetometer.
