Rajinikanth’s “Kabali” has also been leaked online three days before release. Previously Sultan, Great Grand Masti and Udta Punjab were also leaked before the release date. The makers of “Kabali” are trying their best to get the links removed. No matter the links are getting removed from the web or not, it’s leaked now.
It’s a lesson to all the makers of movies that are yet to be released to take a step back and think before distributing its copy.
However Censor Board’s chief Pahlaj Nihalani issued a statement to make it clear from his side that CBFC had no role to play in any of the leaks and had nothing to do with their Mumbai office as the film was censored in Chennai.
S Thanu, Kabali producer, had filed a petition against illegal download of the film. As Nihalani said, these leaks will not affect the boxoffice collection or the movie featuring iconic stars in any way.
“KABALI” is scheduled to be released on July 22, 2016.
