BMW India has launched its 520d M Sport in India at Rs.54 lakh. The car is manufactured at the company’s plant in Chennai. It comes with enhanced looks and is available across India. Right now, BMW 520d M Sport is available only in diesel variant.
“M stands for motorsport and is one of the most coveted badges that has shaped the history of performance automobiles. The next chapter of the BMW 5 Series in India will begin with the BMW 520d M Sport which embodies the athletic form of luxurious elegance. The BMW 520d M Sport with typical BMW M style and sporty genes presents the future-proof dynamics of the BMW 5 Series at its energetic best,” said Frank Schloeder, BMW India President.
The all new BMW 520d M Sport features 18-inch alloy wheels and LED Adaptive headlamps. It sports a muscular design. In terms of power, the updates version of BMW 520d M Sport uses a TwinPower Turbo 1995cc four-cylinder diesel engine. The engine also features fuel injection technologies for enhanced efficiency. It generates 190hp and a peak torque of 400Nm. It is paired with 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission to boost the performance. It has a top speed of 233 km/h and can hit a speed of 100 km/h in just 7.7 seconds.
