Reliance has now launched Jio Dongle 2 the same way it revealed JioFi 2. The new device is available in Reliance Digital Stores. Now you have three options to surf internet using Reliance Jio Network – JioFi 2, Jio SIM, and Jio Dongle 2. Previously Reliance was offering internet service through JioFi and Jio SIM.

Reliance Jio quietly launched another variant of JioFi device earlier this month that features a tiny OLED display to show the network status, hot-spot status, time, and other related stuff. Following the same process, Reliance recently made available a new hot-spot device “Jio Dongle 2”.

It’s just like JioFi device but without a battery and a display. Or in other words, it’s a wi-fi hot-spot dongle which is currently being offered by other Internet Service Providers like MTS Mblaze Ultra Wi-fi. When Reliance Jio was not even introduced, Reliance was providing its Internet service via one of these wi-fi hot-spot dongle made by Reliance. So, it’s nothing new.

With Jio Dongle 2, you don’t have to worry about the battery. You will be able to surf internet as long as you want. You just have to plug-in the device to some power source and start using the service. You can also plug it to your laptop to generate a wi-fi signal. In this way, you can connect more than one device to Jio Dongle 2 including your laptop. Here’s one other option, you can also connect the device to any circuit board in your house/office by using a USB adapter.

Talking about the price, Jio Dongle 2 is available at the same price as JioFi device i.e. Rs.1,999.
