Indian Government recently approved Bharat Biotech’s intra-nasal Covid vaccine named iNCOVACC.
The vaccine will cost you Rs.800 plus 5% GST in private facilities and slots can now be booked on the Co-Win portal.
“This is the world’s first intra-nasal Covid vaccine to receive approval for the primary 2-dose schedule, and as a heterologous booster dose,” Bharat Biotech said.
The vaccine got the approval of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation and can only be administered to those above 18 years of age as a booster dose.
“The phase-III trials and heterologous trials were conducted for 14 and 9 sites across the country, respectively,” Bharat Biotech added in a statement.
“iNCOVACC was developed in partnership with Washington University, St. Louis, which had designed and developed the recombinant adenoviral vectored construct and evaluated it in preclinical studies for efficacy,” Bharat Biotech said.
