Bose has announced a range of its products in India which includes one soundbar called SoundTouch 300 and two sound systems- Lifestyle 600 and Lifestyle 650. All the products are up on sale on company’s site and its retail outlets across the country. The soundbar has been priced at Rs. 69,999 while the sound systems will cost you Rs. 2,99,999 and Rs. 3,99,999 respectively.
Starting with the Soundbar “SoundTouch 300,” the company has also introduced Virtually Invisible 300 wireless surround speakers calling it the “exclusive pair” to SoundTouch 300. According to the company, pairing the soundbar with surround speakers will lead to a thrilling, cinema-like experience. “These unobtrusive rear surround speakers provide sweeping sound that adds to your movies, sports and TV shows,” said the company. The setup is very simple, surround speakers makes wireless connection with the soundbar using two wireless receivers. Once connected, you are ready to boom.
However, the package is still not complete as company has another product to add to this package and that is “Acoustimass 300 wireless bass module.” It can complete the package for a full surround sound experience. You just have to pair the soundbar with the surround speakers and this bass module to rock the whole party. “Like the Virtually Invisible speakers, it has a wireless range of 9 metres and fits nicely into any room. Add it to your SoundTouch 300 soundbar and you’ll notice the difference between hearing bass and feeling thunder,” said Bose.
Getting on to the Soundbar, SoundTouch 300, the speaker lets you play music directly from a phone or tablet using Bluetooth. You can also connect the speaker to the WiFi network for instant in-home listening. You can also sync your favorite music the company’s SoundTouch app. You can browse popular music from Spotify, Deezer, or listen to your favorite internet radio, or play a song stored in your music library within SoundTouch app. “Easily personalise presets for one-touch access to the music you love, and control one or many SoundTouch speakers around your home.”
The SoundTouch 300 features a premium design and is made of a perforated metal wraparound grille and sports a resistant glass on top. In terms of dimensions, it measures 0.8 cm D x 97.8 cm W x 5.7 cm H and weighs 4.7kg.
Next is the Lifestyle 600 sound system that includes four Jewel Cube Speakers and one centre speaker, a console, and an Acoustimass bass module. It’s a whole package to turn your home into a “home cinema.” The four Jewel Cube Speakers adds depth and drama to whatever you watch. The four speakers provides more spaciousness, clarity to your music. While the centre speaker provides “clear dialogue for movies and TV shows, plus pristine vocals from your favourite music.”
Lifestyle 650 sound system packs four OmniJewel satellite speakers, a centre speaker, and same console and the bass module. The OmniJewel Satellite speakers are smaller than Jewel Cube speakers. “Each of these tiny speakers features a carefully milled aluminium housing with two acoustic enclosures for dual-opposing drivers.” These speakers creates true 360-degree sound and a more spacious home cinema experience. While the centre speakers offers greater performance than the precious one which is apcked with Lifestyle 600 system. It’s packed with five precision speakers and coated in an anodised aluminium finish.
Here’s what’s common between these two sound systems: The console houses Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity for wireless music streaming, 4K video compatibility, and 6 HDMI inputs. The console is controlled with a Universal remote. While the the bass module sports premium glass-top finish and delivers powerful base with its QuietPort technology. The SoundTouch app also works with the system in the same way as described above.
