Now send money as email attachment using Gmail on Android

Google has added a new feature to its email service for Android users allowing them to send and receive money. Search engine giant first added this feature on the web and now on Android. You can now split your bills or transfer the money using Google wallet via Gmail on your smartphone without the need to install another wallet.

It is as simple as any other other wallet, you just have to tap on the attachment button and select send money to transfer the money from Google Wallet. You can send money to anyone using this feature as it’s not limited to Gmail users. You can also request money by following the same steps as above.

Users on the receiving end can directly transfer the money from Google wallet to their bank accounts. This feature is limited to United States only, as of now, and is available to both Android and Web users. The feature is completely free, claimed Google in its blog post.

“Sending money in Gmail is as easy as sending any other attachment,” said Google. “Recipients are able to receive or request money right from the email itself—without having to install another payment app.”

You don’t have to install any extra app or switch between apps to send money. What you have to do is to load some money into your Google Wallet to start sending money. Currently, only Web and Android users can make use of this feature but it is expected that the feature will soon be rolled out to iOS users.
