Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 rival Honor 6X has arrived in India and will go live on sale on February 2, 2017 via Amazon India. The Huawei-owned smartphone Honor 6X was first introduced in China back in October 2016 and now it has finally made its way to the Indian smartphone market. The company is offering two variants- 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage.
Honor 6X sports 5.5-inch FHD (1080×1920 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass protection and pixel density of 403ppi. It is also packed with an ‘eye-comfort mode’ that filters out blue light. It is powered by octa-core (4 cores at 2.1GHz + 4 cores at 1.7GHz) Kirin 655 SoC paired with your choice of RAM i.e. 3GB or 4GB. As mentioned above, it comes in two storage options, 32GB or 64GB, which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
The smartphone features dual rear camera (12MP + 2MP) setup. The 12MP sensor comes with Sony IMX386 sensor, PDAF (phase detection auto-focus) while the 2MP sensor will provide depth-of-field or Bokeh effects. On the front side, it has a 8MP camera that features a 77-degree wide-angle lens for wider selfies.
It’s a dual SIM smartphone that supports hybrid (Nano SIM + Nano SIM or Nano SIM + microSD) setup. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow based company’s EMUI 4.1 OS. The company will make the beta version of its EMUI 5.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat available for the smartphone buyers on the launch. The global stable version will be available in Q2 2017. Honor 6X has been packed with 3340mAh battery capable of delivering 11.5 hours of continuous video playback. Connectivity options on board Honor 6X include- Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G VoLTE, FM Radio and GPS/ A-GPS. It comes with proximity, accelerometer, ambient light, and magnetometer sensors alongside fingerprint sensor embedded on the rear side below camera module.
Let’s talk about money, the all new Huawei Honor 6X with 3GB/32GB setup has been priced at Rs. 12,999 while the 4GB/64GB variants will cost you Rs. 15,999. The first flash sale will only feature 3GB RAM with 32GB memory variant, however, company has promised to make the higher variant available in February. It comes in three color options- Gold, Silver, and Grey. Registrations are open now on Amazon India website.
