Huawei has launched Honor 8 Lite ahead of this year’s Mobile World Congress which is going to be held in Mobile World capital Barcelona between February 27 and March 2. The smartphone is now available in Finland for pre-orders at a price of EUR 269 (approx Rs. 19500) and in China at CNY 2,599. The company will start shipping the smartphone starting February 17 in Finland and February 24 in China.

In terms of specifications, the Honor 8 Lite sports 5.2-inch FHD (1080×1920 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass protection. It is powered by company’s own Kirin 655 octa-core SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
The smartphone features 12MP rear camera with auto-focus and f/2.2 aperture. It also sports 8MP front facing camera with 77-degree wide-angle lens to capture wider selfies. Honor 8 Lite runs company’s EMUI v5.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
The device packs 3000mAh battery and supports standard connectivity options like WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on board Honor 8 Lite includes- proximity sensor, accelerometer, and ambient light sensor.
The smartphone’s specs are similar to recently launched 2017 version of Honor P8 Lite smartphone. Talking about the Honor 8 Lite, it comes in four color options- Black, Blue, Gold, and White. As per a report, the company will now be making the smartphone available in two colors i.e. Black and White. Other color variants will be available later. The company haven’t said anything yet on its availability in other markets.
