General Mobile has launched its latest Android One smartphone “GM 6” at MWC 2017 (Mobile World Congress) featuring Android 7.0 Nougat. Price and availability details of GM 6 are yet to be revealed. It will be available in Rose Gold, Gold, and Space Grey color options.
The smartphone sports 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737T SoC paired with 3GB of RAM. In terms of storage, it features 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
GM6 comes packed with 13MP rear camera with autofocus and dual LED flash while on the front side, it sports 8MP camera with flash for taking selfies in low light. The smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat without any customization.
The Android One smartphone packs 3000mAh battery and sports fingerprint sensor embedded in device’s home button, claimed to unlock the smartphone within 0.2 seconds. Other sensors on the GM 6 smartphone include- proximity, magnetometer, accelerometer, ambient light, and gyroscope. It also packs standard connectivity options such as WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, micro USB port, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM Radio.
The smartphone will be made available in 20 markets where Turkish smartphone manufacturer officially operates. The list includes- Azerbaijan, Albania, Afghanistan, Belgium, Bosnia, Croatia, Cyprus, Georgia, Ghana, Greece, Iraq, Kenya, Luxembourg, Moldova, Netherlands, Pakistan, Serbia, Tunisia, Turkey, and Uzbekistan.
