BSNL has now announced limited time broadband plan at Rs. 249 called “BB Unlimited 249” which offers 300GB of data per month including free calls during night time. Existing customers can not avail this new plan as it is exclusive to new customers only.

State-owned BSNL has introduced this plan to compete with other telecom operators. According to the plan, users will get 10GB high speed (2Mbps) data per day and after that the speed will be cut to 1Mbps. The all new broadband plan is available at Rs. 249 only for next six months, after that you will be charged Rs. 499 for the same.

The plan is available across the country except Jammu & Kashmir and Andaman & Nicobar regions. The highlight of the plan is its carry forward feature according to which, if you haven’t consumed 10GB data the previous day then the remaining data will automatically be added to the next day, increasing the limit from 10GB to 10GB + remaining data.

The plan will also offer unlimited night calls to any network between 9pm to 7am including all Sundays within the country. As a new customer you will have to buy a new compatible modem however you don’t have to worry if you already have one. First month bill will also include a security deposit of Rs. 249 and other taxes and the minimum hire period is one month. BSNL has waived off installation charges during the promotional period.

BSNL also offers its own modem to its customers with 5 years of warranty and 100 percent cashback. You can also purchase a compatible modem on your own, all up to you. BSNL is targeting new customers by introducing such offers. Existing customers can avail this offer by applying for a new connection.

This is not the first time that BSNL has tried to woo its subscribers with data offers.
