Andy Rubin’s Essential Phone is finally available to order via the Essential online store, Sprint, and Best Buy. Launched back in May, Essential Phone sports edge-to-edge display and supports modular accessories such as Essential 360-degree camera and Essential Phone Dock.

Essential Phone is all set to challenge Apple’s upcoming iPhone which will also feature an edge-to-edge display, as indicated by Apple’s Homepod firmware.

The smartphone sports stunning 5.7-inch edge-to-edge QHD (1312×2560 pixels) display with 19:10 aspect ratio and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The device is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core (Four cores @ 2.45GHz | Four Cores @ 1.9GHz) SoC paired with Adreno 540 GPU and 4GB of RAM.

As of now, you can reserve/ pre-order the Essential Phone which will be shipped on a later date. According to a notification email that Essential has sent to its early customers who pre-registered for the smartphone, the device will be shipped within seven days as soon as they make the payment.

Currently, Essential Phone is available to pre-order in Black Moon and Pure White colors only. You can expect other color variants to be added very soon. It has been priced at $699 and will be available in four color options- Black Moon, Pure White, Stellar Grey, and Ocean Depths. The 360-degree camera comes with a price tag of $199. Essential is offering both the devices as a bundle at a discounted rate of $749. During checkout, you also have an option to protect your Essential smartphone with Essential Extended Care for 2 years at just $99.

“The most consumer-friendly attribute of all is simplicity. That’s why we made something that works intuitively right out of the box, without complication or clutter. While the technology powering Essential Phone is cutting edge, the exterior and interface hide the complexity underneath; the result is a phone with a minimalist style designed to offer only what you need and nothing more,” reads a blog post by Andy Rubin, the Android creator.
