IFA 2017: World’s highest capacity microSDXC card launched

Western Digital (WD) has launched SanDisk Ultra 400GB microSDXC card which it claims to be the world’s highest capacity microSD card till date. Launched at IFA trade show, the 400GB microSDXC UHS-I card is designed for mobile phones and has been priced at $249.99, you can buy one from SanDisk website and other major retailers.

With data transfer speeds of up to 100MBps, the all new microSD card from Western Digital owned SanDisk can transfer 1,200 high-quality photos in a minute when transferred using USB 3.0 card reader. It can hold up to 40 hours of FHD video or you can store large files, photos, and a lot more extra stuff in your phone without worrying about the storage running out.

Meeting the A1 App Performance Class Specification, the SanDisk Ultra 400GB microSDXC card can load apps faster. You can also download SanDisk Memory Zone app from Google Play Store to take control of your device’s memory storage. The app allows users to view, organize, and back up data, including tagged content from Facebook and Instagram. It can also transfer files from internal storage to microSD card automatically.

SanDisk also introduced 200GB microSD card two years ago which was also record-breaking. Here’s what Sven Rathjen, vice president, product marketing (Western Digital) said, “We continue to push technology boundaries and transform the way consumers use their mobile devices. By focusing on achieving new technology milestones, we enable consumers to keep up with their mobile-centric lifestyles with storage solutions they trust.”
