Xiaomi Mi Note 3 specifications, price, features

Xiaomi has launched a range of new products at an event held in Beijing, China which includes company’s flagship smartphone Mi Mix 2 sporting bezel-less display. Other products include Mi Note 3 and Mi Notebook Pro.

Xiaomi Mi Note 3 comes in two storage variants 64GB and 128GB and in two color options Black and Blue. The Black color 64GB variant has been priced at CNY 2,499 (approx $380 OR Rs. 24,480) while the Black color 128GB variant will cost you CNY 2,899 (approx $445 OR Rs. 28,400). The Blue color option is only available with 128GB variant and has been priced at CNY 2,999 (approx $460 OR Rs. 29,380). You can visit Xiaomi’s website to purchase one.

Mi Note 3 sports 7-series aluminum alloy body with metal frame and 4-sided curved glass body. The smartphone packs 5.5-inch FHD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 403ppi and is powered by 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core SoC paired with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 650MHz Adreno 512 GPU. It comes in two storage variants 64GB and 128GB as mentioned earlier with no support for further expandability, so select the one that fits your usage.


The smartphone features dual camera setup just like Mi 6, consisting of one 12MP wide-angle lens with f/1.8 aperture and 4-axis optical image stabilization plus one 12MP telephoto lens with f/2.6 aperture. The setup comes equipped with features like 2X optical zoom, PDAF (phase detection auto focus), bokeh effect (allowing you to blur the background), optimized low-light photography, panorama, facial recognition, continuous shooting mode, HDR, dual tone LED flash and supports 4K video recording. Mi Note 3 also packs 16MP selfie camera with company’s Adaptable AI (artificial intelligence) Beautify technology, 2-micron pixels, and self-timer. The Adaptable AI Beautify feature uses AI-based algorithms, different for men and women, to enhance, beautify selfies.

The device runs Android 7.0 Nougat based company’s own UI called MIUI 9. The highlight of the smartphone is the facial recognition technology for biometric authentication just like Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and Samsung Galaxy S8. It also features a under-glass fingerprint sensor and sports stereo speaker setup.

It’s a dual SIM (Nano) smartphone that comes packed with 3500mAh non-removable battery and supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging. Connectivity options on board the device include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS / GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C port, Infrared port and 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on the smartphone include proximity, accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, hall, barometer, and infrared.
