Xiaomi has launched a new laptop called Mi Notebook Pro said to target Apple’s MacBook Pro. Xiaomi entered laptop market last year with Mi Notebook Air that targeted Apple’s MacBook Air, not just the name, the laptop also featured a similar design. And now, the company is back with Mi Notebook Pro featuring 8th gen Intel Core i7 processor.

Mi Notebook Pro was launched on September 11 alongside Mi Mix 2 and Mi Note 3. Mi Mix 2 sports bezel-less display, four-aided Ceramic body, and 18:9 screen ratio while the Mi Note 3 sports 7-series aluminum alloy body with metal frame and 4-sided curved glass body. Mi Note 3 is up for sale in China while the regular edition Mi Mix 2 first sale is scheduled on September 15, registrations are now open.

The latest laptop from Chinese smartphone manufacturer sports 15.6-inch FHD (1080×1920 pixels) display with a pixel density of 143ppi, 72% NTSC color gamut, and comes protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device packs fingerprint sensor in the touchpad itself and is compatible with Windows Hello.

The highlight of the laptop is the fingerprint sensor which we have already discussed and a new ‘symmetrical cooling design’ that cools the system down more efficiently under high-performance loads.
