Xiaomi finally revealed full specifications of its Redmi Note 4X smartphone launched last week in China. The smartphone’s Hatsune Miku limited edition variant went on sale today i.e. on February 14 (Valentine’s Day) at a price of CNY 1,299 while the standard edition has been priced at CNY 999 (approx Rs. 9,700). Apart from limited edition, the company is offering the smartphone in Champagne Gold, Matte Black, Cherry Powder, and Platinum Silver Grey color options.
Redmi Note 4X sports 5.5-inch FHD (1080×1920 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass and is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC. The company launched Redmi Note 4 with MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core SoC in China and octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC in India. So, Redmi Note 4X gets the same processor as Redmi Note 4 Indian variant. The smartphone comes in two storage variants- 3GB/ 32GB & 4GB/ 64GB. However, the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage variant is available for now, the other variant will soon be made available by the company. It’s storage can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
The smartphone features 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF (phase detection auto focus), dual-tone LED flash, and 77-degree wide angle lens. It’s front camera sports 5MP CMOS sensor that comes equipped with 85-degree wide angle lens.
It’s a dual-SIM smartphone that comes with hybrid configuration (Micro SIM + Nano SIM OR Micro SIM + microSD card) and packs 4100mAh battery. It runs company’s MIUI v8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and sports fingerprint sensor at the rear side below camera module. Other sensors include- proximity sensor, magnetometer, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, and gyroscope. It also packs standard connectivity options like WiFi 802.11 a/g/b/n, GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, Micro USB, 3.5mm audio jack, and Infrared.
Talking about the Hatsune Miku limited edition variant, Xiaomi has partnered with with Japanese company named Crypton Future Media to launch the limited edition variant in the country which comes packed with Hatsune Miku branded back case and a Mi power bank for free. The limited edition variant will be available in limited quantities for a limited period of time.
