LG launched its high-end smartphone in India named LG V30 Plus (LG V30+) at an event held in New Delhi a few days back. The smartphone sports FullVision display and packs Bang and Olufsen powered 32-bit HI-FI Quad DAC. Music lovers are going to love this smartphone as it comes bundled with B&O Play earphone.
The smartphone will be available to buy exclusively via Amazon India at a price of Rs. 44,990 from December 18, 2017 (Monday). As of now, the company is offering the device in two color options- Aurora Black and Cloud Silver. As for launch offers, LG is offering free one-time screen replacement which is valid for up to 6 months, Beat Fever App in-app purchases worth $100 (Rs. 6,400), No Cost EMI option, exchange offer, and a free wireless charger worth Rs. 3,000. Complimentary wireless charger and screen replacement can be availed by first two thousand buyers only.
Coming on to the phone’s specifications, LG V30+ sports 6-inch QHD+ (1440×2880 pixels) FullVision OLED display that comes protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top and supports the HDR10 standard. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core (four cores @ 2.45GHz & four cores @ 1.9GHz) SoC paired with Adreno 540 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 128GB of internal storage and if that’s insufficient for you, there is also an option to expand it further up to 256GB via microSD card.
LG V30 Plus features dual camera setup consisting of one 16MP standard-angle lens with f/1.6 aperture, 71-degree field of view, 1/3.09-inch sensor size, 1.0-micron pixel size, glass camera lens, and OIS+ (optical image stabilization) and EIS (electronic image stabilization) plus one 13MP wide-angle lens with f/1.9 aperture, 120-degree field of view, 1/3.4-inch sensor size, and 1.0-micron pixel size. Both camera sensors come paired with LED flash, PDAF (phase detection autofocus) + LDAF, HDR, camera modes like Manual Mode, Food Mode, Panorama, and 360 Panorama, and on top there Corning Gorilla Glass 4 to protect the dual camera setup from damage. On the front side, it sports 5MP wide-angle selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture, 90-degree field of view, and selfie light.
The smartphone runs company’s UX 6.0 based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat and sports fingerprint sensor on the rear side. You can also unlock the device using your face as it also packs face unlocking feature. LG has replaced secondary display which appeared in previous V-series models with Floating Bar interface housing customizable shortcuts to almost anything you want to access. The phone also packs Google’s virtual assistant called Google Assistant which let users control the device using their voice. It also comes with Always-On display feature and supports Google’s Virtual Reality platform – DayDream. LG V30+ is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance and also MIL-STD 810G for shock resistance.
It’s a dual-SIM (hybrid) smartphone that comes packed with non-removable 3300mAh battery and supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology. The device also supports wireless charging and on the connectivity front, it includes 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v5.0, FM Radio, NFC, USB Type-C v3.1, and 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on the smartphone include proximity, accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light, and magnetometer.
