Xiaomi Has Begun Manufacturing Its Smartphones In India

Xiaomi, China’s best smartphone maker company, has partnered with Foxconn to start manufacturing their devices in India. Company’s aim is to localize its brand in Indian Market. Indian consumers will now get benefited in every ways.

As announced today, the production has already been started by Xiaomi and Foxconn. As part of ‘Make In India’ project, the first Made In India smartphone, Redmi 2 Prime, is now available in Indian markets at 6,999 INR. It’s an updated version of previously released smartphone Redmi 2.

Besides India, the company has also entered the market of Brazil recently to manufacture devices locally due to high import taxes.
