Swift DLX Edition Launched, Priced At Rs.4.54 lakh

Maruti Suzuki India has launched a special edition Swift variant named Swift DLX. The model is based on the entry level LXI and LDI variants. Swift DLX is packed with few additional features and is launched with a starting price of Rs.4.54 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs.5.95 lakh for the diesel variant.

Talking about the additional features, it comes with blackened B-pillar that can not be seen in the base variants. The list also includes Bluetooth and USB connectivity with the speakers, central locking, all four power windows, fog lamps, and 2-DIN Sony Music System.

In mechanical terms the car remains unchanged. Swift DLX is powered by the same 1.2-litre K-series VVT petrol engine which generates 83 BHP and 115Nm of peak torque. While the other variant is powered by 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine that produces 76 BHP and 190Nm of torque. Both the variants comes with standard 5-speed manual transmission.

Maruti’s aim behind introducing this special edition is to give a push to its sales. Maruti is currently working on Next Generation Swift and Swift Sport which is to be introduced in 2017.
