10 more terrorists killed today in Lachipura area of Uri sector in J&K

More than 8 terrorists were killed today in an encounter with the Indian Army in the Lachipura area of Jummu & Kashmir’s Uri sector. Terrorists were trying to cross over into Jammu & Kashmir’s Uri but most of them were killed during the encounter.

It’s been only two days after four terrorists attacked an Army camp in Uri which killed 18 soldiers. According to the media reports, a group of 15 terrorists crossed the border and entered Lachipura area in which more than 8 terrorists were killed in an encounter.

Media reports also indicated that Pakistan army violated ceasefire in the afternoon for around 20 minutes which clearly indicates that they were providing cover fire for the terrorists crossing over.

“There has been a ceasefire violation in Uri sector by small arms. It has not been intense or continuous firing from across. We are trying to ascertain details and will let you know,” said an Army official.

He also said that the firing from across the border took place between 1:10pm and 1:30pm. No casualities were reported by the officials.

Four terrorists attacked the Army base in Uri in which 18 soldiers killed and dozens were injured. The location where everything happened is located 6km away from the Line of Control. All the terrorists belonged to the Jaish-e-Mohammad terror group. It was one of the biggest attack in recent history as the army lost 18 soldiers. NIA is investigating the Uri terrorist attack now.
