Exchange limit dropped from Rs.4,500 per day to Rs.2,000; See what’s more!

Finance Secretary Shaktikanta Das has announced that people will now be allowed to exchange demonetized currency only up to Rs.2,000. The exchange limit has been dropped from Rs.4,500 because of the currency crisis. People are standing all day in queue but still they can’t get their money exchanged as bank ran out of currency too fast. To ensure everybody gets there chance, government has decreased the limit of exchange.




Here comes two more announcements, families can withdraw Rs. 2.5 lakh for wedding purposes from one account and farmers can also withdraw up to Rs. 25,000 a week.

“The limit for swapping notes at banks has been reduced from Rs. 4,500 to Rs. 2,000 for each person,” said Finance Secretary.

“The government has decided to permit farmers to draw up to Rs. 25,000 per week against crop loans sanctioned and credited to their accounts,” said Finance Secretary Shaktikanta Das.

Notes ban has proved to be severe crisis for some families having wedding as they had withdrawn old notes currency before the currency ban and now they facing problems all over.
