Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan & Karan Johar Join Forces For A Big Release

The upcoming Jolly LLB 2 star Akshay Kumar, who was last seen in Rustom, is all set to feature a movie which will be produced by Salman Khan and Karan Johar. The movie is scheduled to be released in 2018, however, the film’s title is not yet disclosed. Alongside the title, it’s also not clear whether Salman Khan will star the unnamed movie or not.

The movie will be directed by Anurag Singh, who had previously directed Shahid Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee’s Dil Bole Hadippa. The movie will be produced by the famous filmmaker Karan Johar and co-produced by Salman Khan. Salman Khan has previouly produced Chillar Party, Hero, Dr Chabbie, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. All the three stars tweeted about the movie on Monday night confirming the release.




Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan have shared the screen earlier in Jaan-E-Mann (2006) and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004).  Since 2006, both the stars haven’t share the screen together, but as said, it’s still unclear if Salman Khan will also be featured in the upcoming yet-to-be titled film. As per the announcement, Akshay Kumar will be seen in a lead role.

It will be interesting to see Karan Johar and Salman Khan working together for a movie as both the celebrities haven’t really worked with one another since Kuch Kuch Hota Hai movie which was released in 1998.

Talking about Akshay and Salman, they always have shared the bond of friendship and been vocal about it too. Recently, Salman has shared stage with Akshay on the poster launch event of upcoming 2.0 movie featuring Rajinikanth. He was not invited, but he still came to show his support for Akshay and to meet the superstar Rajinikanth.

“I wasn’t invited. I got to know the launch was here. So came here. Akshay Kumar is the only actor who has had growth in our industry. Rest of us are stagnant,” said Salman Khan at the launch event.
