Samsung’s 2016 flagship smartphone Galaxy S7 is expected to receive Nougat update next week. According to recently leaked screenshot, the Nougat update is expected to arrive on the European Samsung Galaxy S7 models from 17 January.
The screenshot only mentions the model number, G935F, which is the European version of the Galaxy S7 Edge, but we can safely assume that the regular Galaxy S7 will get the update as well. The company has already confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge will be updated directly to Android 7.1.1 Nougat in January, and will not receive Android 7.0.
Since Samsung had been running a beta trial version for both the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge users to test Android 7.0 Nougat on their devices. Beta program was only available for users residing in the US, UK, and South Korea, alongside China. The Beta program ended at the end of December, when Samsung said the official version would be rolled out in January.
