Xiaomi’s partner WeLoop has launched Apple Watch lookalike smartwatch called “Hey S3” at a price of $80 (CNY 539 | Rs. 5,000). It has been made available in China via Xiaomi MIJIA, company’s crowdfunding platform. The smartwatch sports design similar to Apple Watch and can run for up to 30 days in one charge.
Hey S3 is a sports-centric smartwatch that comes with a GPS sensor and a 9-axis motion sensor. It sports 1.28-inch display with a resolution of 176×176 pixels that comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The watch is specially made for people who loves to workout and are involved in sports activities as it keeps track of your sports and training activities. It also tracks the distance traveled by you and monitor your heart rate.
The smartwatch is available in Dynamic Black, Bright Red, and Green Youth color options. It packs standard connectivity options such as Bleutooth v4.2, GPS/ AGPS+GLONASS, and supports wireless charging. As mentioned earlier, it has a impressive battery life of up to 30 days on normal usage. It can be synced with your smartphone allowing you to take calls, reply to messages, view notifications, crawl through your music library and a lot more.
Just like Apple Watch 2, it is also waterproof and can be dipped up to 50 meters underwater. You can customize the Hey S3 with colorful straps and by changing the theme as per your need. Sensors on board Hey S3 include- accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, other than heart rate. The smartwatch weighs 38 grams and measures 46.2×35.66×11.15mm.
