Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari wants to quit

Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Monday said he had informed PM Modi that he wishes to step down as Governor of Maharashtra and discharged of all political responsibilities.

Raj Bhavan has issued a statement stating, “Governor Koshyari has expressed his desire to spend the rest of his life in reading, writing and other leisurely activities.”

“It was an absolute honour and privilege for me to serve as the Rajya Sevak or Rajyapal of a great State like Maharashtra – the land of Saints, Social reformers and valiant fighters,” the Governor tweeted.

Bhagat Singh Koshyari is an Indian politician serving as the 22nd and current Governor of Maharashtra from 5 September 2019.
