See The Earth As It Rotates

Now you can see the images of Earth as it rotates on Nasa’s newly launched website. The US Space Agency will post the images of Earth once a day captured 12-36 hours ago by Nasa’s Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera, also called EPIC. You can also find an archive of EPIC images available on the website.

EPIC is a 10-channel spectroradiometer (317-780 nm) onboard NOAA’s DSCOVR (Deep Space Climate Observatory) spacecraft one million miles away. EPIC provides 10 narrow band spectral images of the entire sunlit face of the Earth using a 4 megapixel CCD (Charge Coupled Device) detector couples to a 30 cm aperture Cassegrain telescope.
