Tesla Model 3 deliveries will begin by the end of 2017 in all the proposed markets including India. Tesla Model 3 was unveiled at a special event. Customers can pre-book Model 3 at an initial token amount of $1000 (Rs.66,435).
The base price of the Model 3 that will cost you $35,000 i.e. around Rs.23 lakh (taxes not included).
Model 3 achieves 215 miles (346km) of range per charge and is designed to attain the highest safety ratings in every category. Model 3 looks similar to Tesla Mode S. Model 3 comes with 15-inch touchscreen inside, autopilot hardware and active safety features, panoramic glass roof, supercharging capability, front and rear trunks, LED tail lamps, sporty alloys and much more. It goes Zero to 60mph under 6 seconds. Like Model S, Model 3 will also come in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions.
According to Jay Vijayan, Tesla’s Chief Information Officer, the company is planning to set up its manufacturing plant in India.
