Redmi 4A: Specifications, Price & Everything you Need To Know

Xiaomi has announced three new additions to its Redmi series at an event in China. These are the three smartphones- Redmi 4 Standard Edition, Redmi 4 Pro Edition, and Redmi 4A. Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Pro are currently up for pre-orders for their first sale that goes live this Monday while Redmi 4A will go on sale from November 11.

Let’s talk about Redmi 4A, the smartphone features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display, and is powered by 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC coupled with Adreno 308 GPU. The smartphone sports 2GB of RAM and will be available in Gold and Rose Gold color variants. The Redmi 4A is priced at 499 Yuan (appx. Rs.4,933).




The Redmi 4A bears a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus), a 5-lens system, and an f/2.2 aperture, while the front camera bears a 5-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. It comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via MicroSD card up to 128GB. It’s a dual SIM (GSM + GSM) smartphone that accepts Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM.

The smartphone is powered by a 3120mAh battery with fast charging support. Connectivity options include- 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, and  Bluetooth v4.1. Sensors on board the Redmi 4A include accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, infrared, and proximity. Dimensions are 139.5 x 70.4 x 8.5mm, and it weighs in at 131.5 grams.
