Xiaomi Mi Internet Speaker With Voice Control & 8GB Storage

Xiaomi has launched a new smart home entertainment product called “Mi Wifi Speaker” which can recognize your voice and lets you take full control over it. The company is also calling it as Mi Internet Speaker as it offers music over internet. It has been priced at CNY 399 (appx. Rs. 3970) and will go live for sale from 10 AM (CST) on November 25.

Discussing its Internet functionality, it can play all kinds of music, find comic sketches, play baby stuffs like stories. With Xiaomi’s new speaker you can also stream home town radio station. It’s a fun robot for everyone, says company.

It comes with a remote to control it from distances. As per its voice functionality, you can the spekaer to play any kind of stuff, whether it’s a story or a song. The speaker can also be synchronized with different apps like, Mi Stereo App, Mi Music, and other apps. You can control it via Voice by just pressing the CH button on its top. There are some more buttons which lets you navigate through the songs.




It has a four speaker layout with two 2.5-inch sub woofers to provide extra bass. It also sports two “20 core” tweeters and vented bass duct-technology to enhance its bass sound. Xiaomi calls it an orchestra adding that each member has excellent performance.

It comes with 8GB internal memory and is powered by an Amlogc 8726M3  Cortex A9 processor. It offers connectivity over WiFi 8.0.11 ac and Blutootth v4.1. With its in-built storage, you can listen to songs without the need of internet connection. Other connectivity options include- USB 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack, and DLNA for compatible devices.

Xiaomi has partnered with major streaming services in China allowing you to search for songs from a database of over 20 million tracks. You can also stream more than 1,500 radio stations. The Mi Internet Speaker can also access about 200,000 storytelling stations and a database of 120 million audio books.

You can also control the speaker by using Mi Home App. It can also function as an alarm to wake you up in the morning with your favorite morning song. It supports Hi-Fi 24bit/192kHz audio, and has a frequency range of 60-25kHz. The Internet Speaker doesn’t have a battery and need to be plugged via the power cord to work seamlessly.
