Airtel Announced Its V-Fibre Superfast Broadband Service In Mumbai

Airtel has announced its super-fast broadband service in Mumbai which can provide speeds up to 100Mbps. The company had introduced its so called V-Fiber Broadband service in Chennai first and then expanded the service to Delhi and Bengaluru, weeks later. After launching the service in country’s three big cities,  Airtel’s V-Fiber Broadband service is now coming to Mumbai.

Airtel with its high speed broadband service has promised to deliver speeds up to 100Mbps on regular broadband lines. The great news is that existing users will not have to spend any additional charges on their monthly broadband plans, but, may have to upgrade their modems by buying new compatible modem. Customers can buy a new compatible modem on their own or can choose to get it from Airtel itself with a complete refund guarantee in case of any unsatisfactory results with the broadband service.

However, the company haven’t revealed any pricing details for the new V-Fiber compatible modems. Users, both existing and new, can register for the super-fast broadband service at company’s website. V-Fibre plans for new customers starts at as low as Rs. 899 per month with the promised speed of up to 100Mbps. New customers will also be eligible to avail company’s 3-month unlimited offer.

Airtel is nowadays working on upgrading its V-Fiber network to expand it in further cities having the company’s broadband lines. For that, company is using the Vectorization technology, that’s what company is calling it, or noise elimination technology under which it will boost the last mile copper connectivity. Airtel will also be upgrading its local exchanges to handle faster fiber speeds.

Here’s what company’s CEO, Sameer Batra, said on the launch “We are delighted to bring ‘V-Fiber’ to our customers in Mumbai, as part of our endeavour to deliver best-in-class broadband experience to users. With ‘V-Fiber’, we are all set to offer an altogether transformed experience on our future ready network to the digitally savvy homes. This solution offers a very quick and convenient upgrade to the customer. Our innovative myHome Rewards program and free voice calling facility will certainly add to the delight of Mumbai’s Digital Homes.”
