BSNL: Free Data & Unlimited Voice Calling Starting At Rs.99 per Month

BSNL has introduced unlimited calling offer for its prepaid customers starting at Rs. 99 per Month. BSNL announced the offer on Friday to compete with Reliance Jio. Reliance has recently introduced New Year Offer to its customers extending its free data and free unlimited calling offering till March 31, 2017. Every new customer including the existing customers are eligible for the offer.

Now to compete with Reliance Jio, every telecom company is taking steps to attract new customers and prevent customers downfall. BSNL is already offering unlimited 3G services at Rs. 1,099 with 30 day validity.

Now BSNL has introduced unlimited local and STD BSNL to BSNL voice calling with 300MB of data with 28 days validity at a price of Rs. 99. The Rs. 99 rate will be applicable  in Kolkata TD, Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, Gujrat, Jharkhand, MP, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan. In other circles, the new offer will cost between Rs. 119 to Rs. 149.




“BSNL has also introduced new combo STV with Unlimited local and STD BSNL to any network with 1GB data for only Rs 339 with validity of 28 days on pan-India basis,” said BSNL in a statement.

“Tariff offered by BSNL are most competitive and is committed to provide affordable and excellent services to our esteemed customers,” BSNL added.

Other telecom operators like Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea Cellular made similar attempt to compete with Reliance Jio’s offerings. They all launched similar tariff plans between Rs. 150 to Rs. 350 with 28 days validity.

Reliance Jio has attracted over 58 million customer within 3 months since its free service offerings. The company, by extending the free services, is trying to attract more customers. On the date of Jio’s launch, Reliance proposed a tariff plan at Rs. 149 by offering unlimited voice and calling and 300MB 4G data. Other telecom companies are trying to match Jio’s offering by introducing new tariff plans at matching prices.
