Gionee M2017 With 7000mAh Battery Launched; Specifications, Price, Features

Gionee has launched its latest premium smartphone M2017 in its home country at a price tag of CNY 6,999 (approx Rs. 68,512). The company has also launched another variant of the smartphone which features Italian custom alligator leather back panel and has been priced at CNY 16,999 (approx Rs. 1,66,400). The smartphone is up for pre-orders on company’s website in China, but, as of now, M2017 is Out of Stock and will be made available soon.

Gionee M2017 sports 5.7-inch QHD Amoled display with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels and a pixel density of 518ppi. In terms of design, it features curved edges and is build with Sapphire glasses. It is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 (four Cortex-A72 cores@1.95GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores@1.44GHz) processor and paired with 6GB of RAM. It also features 128GB of internal storage which can not be further expanded.

The smartphone sports dual rear cameras- 12MP + 13MP with dual-LED flash and support for 2x and 8x digital zoom. On the other hand, it features 8MP front facing camera for selfies. The smartphone runs company’s Amigo 3.5 UI based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.




Getting on to the biggest highlight of the smartphone i.e. its 7000mAh battery. Yes, you heard it right, Gionee M2017 is packed with two 3500mAh batteries with support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology. Its battery, on combining, is capable of providing more than 25 hours of backup on continuous video playback and have a standby time of more than 915 hours.

It’s a dual SIM smartphone that adds support for 4G connectivity. Other connectivity options include- 3G, 2G, WiFi, GPS, FM Radio, and Bluetooth. Gionee with M2017 has ditched 3.5mm audio jack and adds support for USB Type-C connectivity. Sensors on board M2017 include- proximity sensor, accelerometer, and ambient light sensor. The smartphone is available in two color variants i.e. Black and Gold.

The company haven’t disclosed any further details regarding the launch of the smartphone outside China. If you have already become a fan of M2017 than you will have to wait till company’s official statement on its outside launch.
