Super Mario Run To Release Soon For Android; Pre-registration Started

Super Mario Run will soon be available on Google Play as Nintendo has allowed users to pre-register for the game. Users will then be notified when the game will be available to download. Nintendo announced the pre-registration by tweeting on twitter, here’s what it reads:

Attn @Android users: Pre-Register now to be notified when the official #SuperMarioRun is available on @GooglePlay

Users can register  for the game to get notified first by opening Google Play Android App store and searching for Super Mario Run. On app install page, you’ll see a “Register” button instead of “Install.” Hit that button to register!

Nintendo haven’t revealed any details on the release date yet, however, it looks like that the company is all set to release the game on Android platform. It appears that Nintendo is looking for the number of game installs initially so that the company could manage its servers accordingly. It also seems that Nintendo may initially be releasing the game in countries having higher registration count.

Nintendo speaks on the delay in releasing the game for Android. Here’s what it says:

“For us, we view our software as being a very important asset and also for consumers who are purchasing the game, we want to make sure that we’re able to offer it to them in a way that the software is secure, and that they’re able to play it in a stable environment,” said Shigeru Miyamoto, game creator, in an interview with Mashable.

“The security element is one of the reasons that we decided to go with iPhone and iOS first,” added Shigeru Miyamoto. “We wanted to be able to leverage that network connection with all three Super Mario Run modes to keep all of the modes functioning together and offering the game in a way that keeps the software secure. This is something that we want to continue to work on as we continue to develop the game.”
