Tweet Editing feature is Definitely Needed, said CEO Jack Dorsey

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey took his own platform to ask users for their suggestions in regards to features the company should implement. The responses immediately began flooding in, and one particular suggestion kept popping up, ‘Twitter users really want the ability to edit tweets.’

Jack Dorsey has now acknowledged that a tweet editing feature is definitely needed. Dorsey said, “some form of editing is definitely needed for everyone on the service, and not just for verified users.”

However, Dorsey made it clear that implementing the feature is easier said than done. It all boils down to the availability of the editing function once a tweet is shared. Dorsey asked users, should it be restricted to a quick five-minute window to let users check and correct tweets, or should it be available for a longer or even indefinite period?’

“This is our most requested feature (today & always). Mostly to quickly fix mistakes. Anything beyond would need to show revision history,” Dorsey said.

There is no guarantee that the social networking website will add the option right away, but, the tweet editing feature will soon make its way to the website. All we have to do is to wait as the social networking company haven’t revealed any further info currently.
