Lenovo P2 Smartphone Launched in India; All you need to know

Lenovo has launched its P2 smartphone in India at a starting price of Rs. 16,999. The company has partnered with online retailer Flipkart to distribute the smartphone. The smartphone comes in two variants- 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM. The 3GB RAM variant will cost you Rs. 16,999, while, one with 4GB RAM has been priced at Rs. 17,999. It will be available to buy starting January 12 via Flipkart in Champagne Gold and Graphite Grey color options.

Getting on to the smartphone’s specifications, it sports 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display wrapped with 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 processor and paired with your choice of LPDDR3 RAM i.e. 3GB or 4GB. In terms of storage, it has got 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.




It features 13MP rear camera with Sony IMX258 sensor and LED flash and a 5MP front facing camera for selfies. The smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is packed with massive 5100mAh battery that can provide backup of up to 3 days on normal run. It also comes with fast charging feature claimed to be 30 percent more faster than Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0. According the the company, it can provide 10 hours of backup on 15 minutes of charging.

It’s a dual SIM (Nano SIM) smartphone which comes with 4G LTE network connectivity support. Other connectivity options on board Lenovo P2 include- Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, and FM radio. Sensors on the smartphone include- proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and gyroscope. The smartphone also features fingerprint sensor that has been embedded in the home button. It also include support for dual apps, according to which, you can run same app with two different accounts.
