Possible Moto Z (2017) model passes through Geekbench with Snapdragon 835 SoC

Next generation flagships are right around the corner from all the brands and so the leaks will just keep flowing in until they are finally announced. A new Motorola device has passed through the popular benchmarking app Geekbench having the model number XT1650.

It is powered by Qualcomm’s latest and next flagship Snapdragon 835 chipset, and has 4GB of RAM. The benchmarking app also reveals that the device was running on Android 7.1.1 when it ran the test.

According to Motorola’s announcement last year, the device should sport a similar modular smartphone setup as seen on the current Moto Z lineup of smartphones as they wanted to maintain an uniformity across all the versions so that future Moto MODs can support older versions of the device as well. However we still do not know for sure if this strategy will be followed or not and what will be the future of Moto MODs.
