Samsung reveals Galaxy A3 (2017), A5 (2017) and A7 (2017) availability and pricing details

After a bunch of leaks and anticipation, 2017 lineup of the popular A series from Samsung has finally been revealed by the company. The Galaxy A7 (2017), Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A3 (2017) were expected to debut on January 5 at a dedicated event in Malaysia, but the company’s global press site jumped the gun and listed it early on 2nd January itself.

All three new handsets come with IP68 certification for water and dust resistance and feature fingerprint scanners in their home buttons. They run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and support Samsung Pay and LTE connectivity. The metal bodies are just 7.9mm thick and they all have USB Type-C connectors.




The prices of Samsung Galaxy A (2017) series smartphones have reportedly been announced by the South Korean giant. The Galaxy A3 (2017) for EUR 329 (roughly Rs. 23,500) and Galaxy A5 (2017) for EUR 429 (roughly Rs. 30,600).

Samsung may not even launch the Galaxy A7 (2017) in the region at all, if the report by SamMobile is trustable which they generally are. All three smartphones from the Samsung Galaxy A (2017) series will be made available from early-January in Russia before being made available in other markets. Indian availability and prices are still unknown.
