Vivo V5 Plus India Launch Set For Today

Vivo is all set to launch the V5 Plus selfie-focused smartphone in India on Monday. The company has scheduled a launch event at 12pm IST in New Delhi. To recall, the smartphone was unveiled globally last week. The Vivo V5 Plus price in India may have been leaked last week by an offline retailer claiming that pre-orders had begun at Rs. 27,980. 

Vivo V5 Plus sports 5.5-inch FHD (1080×1920 pixels) dislay and is powered by 2.0GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. In terms of storage, it comes with 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded further up to 256GB via microSD card.




Coming to its V5 Plus camera which is also the biggest highlight of the smartphone, it sports dual front facing camera setup (20MP + 8MP). The 20MP sensor has been integrated with Sony IMX376 1/2.78-inch sensor and comes with f/2.0 aperture, and 5P lens while the 8MP sensor captures the depth of the shot. It also features 16MP rear camera with LED flash. It’s front dual cameras are capable of producing so called “Bokeh” effect, popularized by Apple with its iPhone 7.

The smartphone has been packed with 3160mAh battery and runs Funtouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It’s a dual SIM smartphone that comes with 4G LTE network connectivity support. Other connectivity options include-  Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, and FM Radio. Sensors on board V5 Plus smartphone include- proximity, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and magnetometer alongside fingerprint senor that has been embedded in Home button.

It measures 152.8 x 74.00 x 7.26mm and weighs in at 158.6g.
