Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has introduced its flagship smartphone in China called V9 alongside Honor 8 Lite. Honor 8 Lite was first launched in Finland earlier this month. Both the smartphone are up for pre-orders in company’s home country. Huawei also launched Honor 8 Lite in Japan as Huawei nova lite, however, its price details is yet to be revealed.
Honor V9 sports 5.7-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) LTPS LCD display. It is powered by company’s Kirin 960 (4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz + 4 Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.4GHz) processor paired with 6GB of RAM. It comes in two storage options i.e. 64GB & 128GB. The internal storage can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.
The smartphone features 12MP dual rear cameras with f/2.2 aperture, laser auto-focus, LED flash and supports 4K video recording. It also sports 8MP front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The device runs company’s UI called EMUI v5.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
It’s a dual-SIM smartphone that supports Hybrid configuration i.e. Micro SIM + microSD card OR Micro SIM + Nano SIM. Honor V9 also sports fingerprint sensor on the rear side and packs large 4000mAh battery. Other sensors include- proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and ambient light sensor while in terms of connectivity, it packs standard connectivity options such as WiFi, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, FM Radio, and 3.5mm audio jack.
Honor V9 smartphone with 64GB internal storage comes at a price tag of CNY 2,999 (approx Rs. 30,000). The company haven’t revealed the pricing of smartphone’s 128GB model. You can pre-register the smartphone on company’s website. The company will start shipping the device starting February 28. Honor V9 comes in four color options- Blue, Black, Red, and Gold.
Honor 8 Lite specifications highlight: The smartphone sports 5.2-inch FHD (1080×1920 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass protection. It is powered by company’s own Kirin 655 octa-core SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card. It comes with 12MP rear camera and 8MP front camera and packs 3000mAh battery.
