Uber has launched another service in India called “UberHIRE” which will let users to hire a cab for up to 12 hours. UberHIRE is a time-based and on-demand service provided by Uber which lets users to explore the city or shopping without worrying about hiring a new taxi to get back home as your hired Uber will wait for you till you’re finished exploring.

The new service will be available in only nine cities initially which includes New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, and Vizag (Visakhapatnam). Uber will be expanding its UberHIRE service in more cities in coming weeks.
According to Uber, this service is perfect for travellers exploring a new city, business travellers who have multiple meetings, or for senior citizens who need to travel around the city to visit multiple destination. The service is convenient and economical for everyone, claims Uber. Let’s say, if you hire a Uber for 2 hours and up to 30kms, you’ll be charged between Rs. 449 to Rs. 649.
As of now, UberHIRE does not accept payments via Paytm or debit/ credit/ net-banking. Users will have to pay in cash for hiring the ride, said Uber. The total fare will be calculated at the end of the trip based on the distance and duration. The limit for using UberHIRE currently is 12 hours while the coverage area will be same as for uberGO, uberX, uberXL.
