Motorala unveiled two new smartphones G5 & G5 Plus at MWC 2017 on February 27, 2017. Lenovo will launch the G5 Plus in India on March 15 as confirmed by the company. The G5 comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage at a price of EUR 199 (approx Rs. 14,000 OR $210) while the G5 Plus comes in three variants- 2GB/ 32GB, 3GB/ 32GB & 4GB/ 64GB, priced at EUR 229 (approx Rs. 16,000 OR $242) and EUR 279 (approx Rs. 19,000 OR $295) respectively. The company haven’t unveiled the price of its 4GB/ 64GB variant yet.

Getting started with Moto G5, the smartphone sports a 5-inch FHD (1080×1920 pixels) display. In terms of design, the smartphone sports metal chassis and a circular camera frame on the rear side. It is powered by 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. It also sports fingerprint sensor that comes embedded in home button.

Moto G5 features 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash, f/2.0, and PDAF while on the front side, the smartphone packs 5MP wide angle camera for taking selfies. It’s a dual SIM (Nano + Nano) smartphone that comes packed with 2800mAh battery with fast charging support. It also packs standard connectivity options like WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, FM, micro USB port, and 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on the smartphone include- accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, and ambient light. It will be available in Fine Gold and Lunar Grey.




The all new Moto G5 Plus smartphone sports 5.2-inch FHD (1080×1920 pixels) display and is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC paired with your choice of RAM i.e. 2GB/ 3GB/ 4GB. It comes in two storage options 32GB/ 64GB, which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card. The device also sports fingerprint sensor which has been embedded in its home button.

It features 12MP rear camera with dual autofocus, f/1.7 aperture, dual-LED flash, and supports 4K video recording. On the front side, the smartphone sports 5MP camera for taking selfies. It’s a dual SIM (Nano + Nano) smartphone that comes packed with 3000mAh non-removable battery and supports TurboPower charging. It will be available in two color options- Lunar Grey and Fine Gold. It also packs standard connectivity options like WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, GPS, FM, micro USB port, and 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on the smartphone include-accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, and ambient light.

Both the smartphones runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and comes integrated with Google’s virtual assistant, just like Apple’s Siri, called Google Assistant. The device also packs features like Moto Display, Actions, twist gesture, and a One Button Nav which lets you take control over the screen through fingerprint sensor. The price and availability of the smartphone and its variants will depend on the markets.
