Micromax Selfie 2 selfie focused smartphone unveiled

Micromax Selfie 2, an all new selfie focused smartphone from Micromax has been launched with a price tag of Rs. 9,999. The smartphone will be made available via all authorized retailers across the country from August 1. It also comes with 100 days replacement guarantee and also includes one year warranty period as well.

Micromax Selfie 2 sports a large display with “great color depth and stunning visual clarity” and is powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6737 quad-core SoC coupled with 3GB of DDR3 RAM. It comes with 32GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card.


Selfie 2 features a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, auto scene detection, panorama, OV 8856 sensor, and LED flash. It’s a selfie focused smartphone that features an 8MP front camera with Sony IM135 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, face beauty mode, real time bokeh effect, HDR, and LED flash. It also features Gallery 4.0 integrated with face recognition tech allowing users to easily search for images in the gallery.

It’s a dual SIM smartphone that comes packed with 3000mAh battery rated to deliver 250 hours of standby time. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat that offers enhanced user experience with features like multi-window, notification direct reply, bundled notifications, enhanced doze mode, customized quick settings, and a lot more.

It also packs standard connectivity options such as WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on the smartphone include proximity and accelerometer apart from fingerprint sensor that has been placed on the rear side of the smartphone.
