Alcatel has launched a new device in India called Alcatel U5 HD which has been priced at Rs. 5,999. The smartphone will be available to buy on Flipkart exclusively from Wednesday midnight. U5 was launched globally in August this year and now the device has made its way to India.
The all-new Alcatel U5 HD sports 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. It is powered by 1.1GHz MediaTek MT6737 quad-core SoC paired with Mali-T720MP2 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card. In comparison, the global variant featured only 1GB of RAM.
The smartphone features a 13MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash while on the other side, it has 8MP selfie camera with HDR, EIS (electronic image stabilization), Face Show, Face Mask, Face Beauty, Instant Collage, and Selfie Album. The front camera comes paired with LED flash to provide a better quality image capturing in low-light conditions.

It’s a dual SIM (micro SIM) smartphone that comes packed with 2200mAh battery rated to deliver 4 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time. In terms of connectivity, the device packs 4G LTE connectivity, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, FM Radio, micro USB port, and 3.5 mm audio jack. Sensors on the smartphone include proximity and accelerometer.
