Popular comedian Louis C.K. has accepted that he had engaged in sexual misconduct with several women. He released a statement accepting that he committed the acts of sexual misconduct in response to the report published in the New York Times detailing his behavior with the victims.
Media companies like Netflix, HBO, FX Networks and FX Production cut ties with Louis C.K. after he accepted the allegations. His upcoming movie named “I Love You, Daddy” which was scheduled to release on November 17 will no longer be released as the film distributor canceled it.
Since a long time, there were rumors about Louis C.K. that he engages in inappropriate sexual behavior with women around him but not anymore as Louis C.K. has officially accepted the allegations. The NYT published the stories of five women detailing the comedian’s behavior towards them.
In response to the report, Louis C.K. stated, “I want to address the stories told to The New York Times by five women named Abby, Rebecca, Dana, Julia who felt able to name themselves and one who did not.”
“These stories are true,” he added.
FX Networks and FX Production ended their association with Louis hours after he admitted that the sexual misconduct allegations made by five women are true. The media company canceled the overall deal C.K. and announced that he will no longer serve as executive producer or receive compensation for any of the four shows – “Baskets,” “Better Things,” “One Mississippi,” and “The Cops” – the company was producing with him.
According to NYT, HBO dropped him from the lineup of its comedy benefit broadcast “Night of Too Many Stars” and also pulled him from its on-demand library.
On the other hand, Netflix signed a deal with the alleged comedian to create two new stand-up specials and the first one has already been released months ago, however, the streaming service has declared that it will not be making the planned second stand-up special. Published Louis C.K. shows and performances are still available on the streaming service.
